Born in Nicaragua, raised in San Francisco, and currently living in San Jose. I am a Front End Web Developer with a B.S. in Computer Science transitioning from administrative work to web development. I specialize in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery. Currently learning React.js and iOS/Swift. Always open to new opportunities.
In 2015, I was awarded 2nd place at a hackathon for creating a web application as part of a 4 person team. In 2016, I joined Women Who Code San Francisco and now Lead the Mobile iOS Group. I am also a member of Girl Develop It, and PyLadies, Latinas in Computing, and Women Techmakers.
In my spare time I enjoy running marathons and I am part of two running groups. In 2017, I ran the 40th San Francisco Marathon. I also enjoy dancing Salsa, Merengue, Swing, Ballroom, and Argentine Tango. In 2015, I performed a Bolero/Tango routine as part of a performance team. In 2016, I joined a Salsa performance team. In addition to dancing I enjoy symphonies, art exhibits, musicals, operas, comedy shows, and figure drawing.
A web application that creates a shopping list. It allows the user to add, delete, and clear the list. Technologies used were HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
A number guessing game where the user has to guess a number between 1 and 100. As they submit their guesses the game lets them know how hot or cold the are to the correct response. Technologies used were HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
A quiz app that asks users multiple choice questions on fine wine, while tracking the number of correct responses. Technologies used were HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
